Practice Labs: Free access for period of shutdown
The COVID-19 outbreak threatens to impact on continuity of study. To help mitigate this, BLC sponsor company, Practice Labs , is keen to help, and has pledged open (free) access to its virtual live-lab platform for IT students and apprentices from affected BLC member colleges.
Practice Labs will set up free access to live, off-the-job experiential learning to IT students and apprentices studying at BLC member colleges – providing unlimited access to the Practice Labs’ live-lab environment until the end of July 2020.
The Practice Labs Environment consists of real-world technology accessible via web browser or learning management system, providing flexibility of access should students and apprentices need to study away from college premises. A broad range of IT topics are covered – including those related to the Network Infrastructure Technician or Network Engineer apprenticeship standards.
To review the full library, you may find it useful to download the portfolios for Practice Labs and Exam Preps or utilise the search facility in the Practice Labs Store. Once you have identified which titles are the most relevant to your needs, navigate to https://plabs.info/aoccs , complete the request form, and a member of the Practice Labs’ customer success team will be in touch to arrange open access to those titles.
